Prince Muhammad bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister and head of the Council of Economic Affairs and Development, announced the establishment of the strategic office for the development of the northern border region.
The strategic office for the development of the northern border region aims, according to the Saudi Press Agency “SPA”, today, Monday, to raise the level of development in the cities and governorates of the region, and to enhance the quality of life for its residents and visitors, by investing the economic, natural and historical ingredients of the region, and its strategic border location as one of the gates Northern Kingdom.
The strategic office for the development of the northern border region will take responsibility for launching qualitative initiatives and projects that contribute to creating an attractive investment environment for capital, which will achieve a great development and economic renaissance and provide job opportunities for citizens and citizens, in order to enhance the sustainable development goals.
The office also takes coordination between government agencies to support development in the northern border cities and governorates, organize their development mechanisms, and measure the performance of government agencies, by re -employing capabilities and natural resources, in a way that enhances the economic and social aspect in it, and to be the nucleus of establishing a development body in the region.
The Crown Prince’s announcement of the establishment of the strategic office for the development of the northern border region comes as an extension of the announcement of a number of strategic offices and development agencies in several regions, after the development bodies and similar offices in the regions of the Kingdom have achieved great success in their duties under the direct supervision of His Highness, which reflects his keenness that Sustainable development includes all regions and cities and converting them into major attraction elements for internal and external investments and global, political, economic, cultural and sports events.
